What do you use for ports?

I am in need of some ports for a box build.We are using aero ports....4".I can get the the flared end from ebay but want to know if I should use pvc for the tube portion.Does it matter what size the tube is....ie....schedule 40?

if your going to use pvc, forget about the flares. the flares are around 4.125'' od where pvc is 4.5''. if you want to use aeros and need longer than the 17'' that the parts express kit can do, then buy the flare kit from precision port and get the 15 3/4'' tube that pe carrys from dayton audio.

schedule 40 will have an inner diameter that is too small, 35 works better, you can also look into cardboard tubes if you arnt going to throw crazy power to your setup. Or even coat them in resin for strength

Indeed, that's where areos are best.

Yep, for a low tuning you'll need to custom make them with longer tubes and/or elbows.

so 4.5 feet net tune to 32 can areos b used for one 15? not sayin thats waht im gona do just wana find out if 2 4 inch areo kits will do. cuz the areos cost what 30 or so for one kit?or a box that is tad under 4.0 net how many areos.
