Ok, I have a 02 Suburban, i want to do (4) 15's ported. Now do i have enough space for that with the 3rd row seat still in place. Also, im thinking of going with RE subs. I have (2) SAZ-1500d's, would these be over kill putting 2 subs to (1) amp. In my last setup, i was using 1 yellow top in the back by the subs and a red top under the hood. I do have the big 3 done, but im just not sure of the current these Sundowns will draw. Will the entry level RE subs stack up to these amps?? Need ideas and input please!!!!

Are you too dumb to measure?
!st off, this is how peoples threads get all f'd up, i know how to measure, i was askin someone who has done a install in a suburban, someone who knows about ported box measurment. I can go measure all day, but with out the **** specs of the subs for a ported box, what good is my measurments at this point in my thread!!! All you had to do was read, dont have any input, keep ya neg sh*t moving.

with 3k watts your going to need more juice, i don't know how big your factory alternator is but being a suburban you can probably get away with the factory alt. i would recommend a yellow top under the hood and *AT LEAST* one big bat in the back (hc2400, deka 9a31, odyssey 2150 etc) stick the biggest dry cell you can fit up front (hc800 or 1400) and 1 preferably 2 big batts in the back. if you ran a hc1400 up front and a hc2400 out back that would be plenty, 800 up front and 2400 out back and your riding the edge. you get the idea, i would personally go with a yellow top up front and 2 deka 9a31's out back, more than enough juice and cheapest alternative. dekas have great reviews on here.

onto the subs. 2 saz1500's strapped should do 3000@2ohms... 4 se15's dual 4ohms, 16 cubes tuned to 32hz

and thats pretty much it, with that much power and air moving i would highly suggest raamat or something in the back to keep your suburban from coming apart.

Lol what good is designing a ported box if you dont know dims? If your porting them which i assume you are you need atleast 2.5 cubes per sub. But 3 would be optimal. prolly wont fit behind the third row.

Thank you sir!!! Didnt even think about the ramat issue. Didnt think this was that much power concidering what i have read on this forum!!

ill put it to ya this way... i have a single hdc 12 off a bxi2008 in a standard cab truck and today for the first time (finally) i cranked it up to about 80%, upon doing so all the clips that hold the back trim piece (2ft hi x 5ft wide) snapped... so now my back trim piece is floating. that was 1 12 off about 1800w. 4 15s on 3k watts will flex the roof of an suv out of shape, break locks, vibrate panels loose etc. thats alot of air being moved around.

Why not take out the 3rd row of seats? Maybe you need them, I don't know, but then space wouldn't be an issue.

Personally I would do two ported off one of those amps and sell the rest. Two in a burb would be plently loud for most people. Also won't have to kill your electrical or have to update it much. Probably be fine with what you listed off two of those subs and one amp.

3kw is a good amount of power for a daily beater..lol, yea its not absurd for anybody who competes but for daily is a pretty good amnt.

The wife is in the truck at the moment, that is why i cannot post the specs just yet. Now would going with just 2 get loud, i just had 4 12 inch L7's in a sealed box, but i have found the love of a ported box, and the Re's seem to be a good budget sub, but i dont want to go backwards from what i had!!
