What Do You Think this will hit

I have 3 10" Memphis Power Reference subs powered by 1000D amp in a box with 6.5 cubic feet of airspace and each sub requires 1. The port is 2x10x8. My friend hit a 145 in a box with 2cubic feet with same subs and amp in a convertible. My car is a 91 eclipse hatchback.

how about you go get it metered? we don't know how good the install is and we just can't guess at a number over the internet. not trying to be a smartass but i'm sure someone on this forum might have a simialr setup and give you a number making this post absolutely useless, but the best way to find out is too go have it metered yourself.

each sub requires 1 cube and your puting 3 in a 6.5 cuft box? seems a little big IMO. whats the rms on those subs?

whats the vc config?

I didn't build the box yet that is why i am asking, but it is still a good question. I doubbled the airspace becuause my distant friend took 5th in the world a few years ago with these subs, but with 6. He was pushing 12 cubic feet. He told me to doubble it also the rms is 200, 400 peak.

What iceteebone said is correct. There is no way that we could give you a number but if you REALLY want an idea, expect anywhere from 0-180db.

That is really going to max out those subs, doubleing the airspace greatly reduces the power handling, and you're already sending them over 100 extra watts. I'd say just be careful not to send them into clipping.

why do ppl think that we can guess what they will hit without seeing the entire setup, 10%knowledge(product), 90%install. But as I can see, those reference sub wont put up 145 numbers in a convertible, etc....

Mabye a 145 on an old audiocontrol. That convertible top is going to push out from that pressure causing lower numbers.

why the hell would they want to know what we think it will hit? we could sit here going back and forth arguing what it will hit when all you have to do is go get it metered then you will know exactly what it will hit and you can make a thread saying what you hit and we will all be happy maybe.
