I worked as one of those telemarketers calling people, and I will tell you that it is the most boring job and people that come up with funny things to say is what kept me there for the month I lasted. I loved hearing how people would go crazy when I called.

and yes, I try to have a conversation, see if I can get phone *** with the person... They usually hang up before I do that way.

oh and to add to this...

the people who think they are good just because they signed up for the National do not call registry.... you are not completly clean of getting these calls.

So stop saying it's illegal for people to call you. Where I worked, we were technically not telemarketing (which is what 'Don't call list" counts for) but be aware Market research is different then telemarketing. Any of these companies can still call your home for research, as long as they do not try to sell you anything.

When a place still calls you and you are on the National do not call registry... also ask - "Can I be placed on your do not call list as well"

these are good i hate when they call and ask for my dad. i say its 3 o'clock he has a job and gets off at 6

or say wat are your hours and then say... they say 8-7 then i would say call him around 7 or 7:30 or when my mom picks up she just says shes the baby sitter

or the usaul click on them hahah works all the time
