what do you do for a living?

That's something we have in common, but unfortunately it isn't something good to have in common. I have onset carpal tunnel too. I grew up working landscaping throughout middle school and high school and typing on a computer all day didn't seem to help either. I had to have surgery on one of my fingers last year because of it. I was able to get my medical card because of my hand and back pain (I also have DDD) so I guess that was one upside to all of the bad. Just ***** to have these problems at only 25, but I guess it could be a lot worse right?
yea. I seen a man fall 100 feet from a rig in the port of Houston. well I didn't see him fall but he feel like 2 minutes before crew change and he was on the ground blood everywhere. man it ******. he didn't have his harness on. his family got no money to help pay for his death. the guys got together and passed an envelope around to give contributions to the family. I gave um all my monies I had that night.. ive been lucky. electrical is probably a top 5 most dangerous job. I'm always high enough to break my neck back or kill me working on ****. or in a live panel they don't want to shut in..

****, that is some scary ****. Kind of makes me appreciate my desk job a little more now.

I worked at our local Waste Water Utility plant part time for almost four years, stopped working when the hours didn't line up with my time outside of classes. Now Im going to be at the Homedepot until I get my first degree next year. Also work at a Jimmy johns on weekends. Whatever pays the bills i guess..

Yeah Jimmy Johns! They deliver to my house in less than 10 minutes haha. I love it!

Its seriously the easiest job in the entire world. All of the kids that work their bitch about their hours while I'm sometimes pulling 50+ hour weeks out of the place on top of college courses like its cake. Or maybe I just enjoy working any job..

I do big data analytics involving predictive modeling and logistic regression in the healthcare industry. Basically math and statistics stuff. Sit at a desk in front of a computer most of the day which I absolutely hate, but it pays the bills and allows me to enjoy and afford my hobbies. I originally started off college in engineering and I wish I would have stuck with electrical engineering instead of math and stats so I could have applied some of that knowledge to all this car audio stuff. Oh well… I eventually want to start my own company whether that is related to my degree of math/stats or something else. I just want to be my own boss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but who doesn't want that haha?

That second pic of the boom lift is a Genie...recognize the blue/grey colors. I worked for them for 7 years as a mcahine operator. Will never go back to that placed after being mistreated so many times. !/2 the people there stand around and expect to get paid to do nothing, or barely anything.

Now, I'm a CNC machinist for a local aerospace company. 10 years and counting.
