what do you do for a living?

Some guys I absolutely love dealing with and look forward to seeing some of my customers. I run my own district so folks are like "oh I bet that's great being your own boss". But in reality, I have a lot of bosses...which is my customers.

Best of luck finding a job that doesn't deal with people directly. They're out there, but just not as common. Trick is finding a job that you enjoy, especially since you're going to college. I love what I do!
Thanks, I hope to work for CAT or GM as an engineer. If that doesn't happen, I'd like to work at or own my own battery/electrical shop or possibly audio company going for the "race to zero" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Figured I'd add it to this thread. We've got a stock 2500HD for hauling pallets of batteries to/from the shop. Loaded down with close to 100 batteries, there was still suspension travel in the back and it drove fine, lol. I had to drive it from our "warehouse"/"Storage Unit" back to the shop like this. There was a pallet stacked high and wrapped, then another one behind it with golf kart batteries that you can barely see

I was surprised by how little the truck squatted with that much weight in the back. Was between 3k and 4k pounds

Unfortunately, the 2500 and 3500 springs would not fit my 1500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Idk, but he's a great actor imo.

I especially like his characters in "Click", "Joe Dirt", and "Pulp Fiction" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Edit: Pulp fiction was the best //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

^Must see!

Long standing joke amongst friends, was the first pic when browsing files that seemed avatar worthy. Have been too lazy/busy lurking to give thought to something more proper. For pranking purposes, I've used his voice on the phone a few times, including when I was doing CS for VZW at a call center while looking for a real job.

Speaking of which, I do telecom install for a colocation company, mostly because it was something different than my extensive work history in logistics, export compliance and warehouse management.

My work days are widely varied. Some days in the office working in 3D building modeling software, some days travelling to meetings, some days travelling to buildings to evaluate current conditions or meet with contractors to discuss active projects, some days doing acoustic testing, and some days doing acoustical calculations or simulations. I see all types of spaces - industrial, higher ed, lots of healthcare, some military/governmental, etc.

On Wednesday I logged 10k+ steps and 30 floors (including 4 hours of driving), on Thursday only 2500 steps and 2 floors due to meetings designing a surgery expansion.

Installed for 10 years but gave that up in 2012

Now work for myself as a AWS Cloud Architect with a little dabble here and there in web design. Mostly working on contracts with local private schools and other educational institutions. Just finished the first part web site for Howard University Middle School. Working on adding some additional stuff form them. And designing a web application that searches social media on a regular basis for key words.

Oh and im a full time student finishing a degree in Cybersecurity.

I never know what each day will hold. I have plans but the are always subject to change. Any phone call can change my day or week.
I love it. Repetition is boring.
