Hey guys so this is what i have Mtx Terminator Sealed Enclosure RMS=400 running with alpine mrv-m500 but its not enough i need more bass.. but money is an issue im 16 and my last paycheck was 90 dollars its hard when you have school and work is 40 min from where you live.. ANYWAY im stuck on what to purchase i am a diehard MTX supporter just am i like to be different i dont want to be seen as the kid with the walmart kickers so im stuck on my next purchase i want louder so do i go ported ? do i buy this? already wired to 2 ohm and matches amp perfect! but i have never heard a ported box and i dont want it to be sloppy i like tight bass but yet drawn out all i listen to is rap and dubstep..

But this brings me to my next questions can i just rip out the old subs off my terminator box and put these in.? http://www.mtx.com/_mtx+mobile+12+single+2+937+250w+rms+subwoofer_no-3512+02_702/b they match rms perfect and has a little bit bigger magnet so they would be louder will they sound good if i throw them in the box i already have ? like is this space or displacement in my box going to sound good with those subs?? why not just buy a good sub and build a box

it'll work, but you wont be getting the most out of your subs until you get a customer box made to suit the subs.

MDF is expensive and my parents are already worn out on this they hate it so my dad wont help bulid it with me and i dont have like a CAD program i could get one thats what i do at work but i dont know what sounds best then it just looks like **** because im not going to carpet it

Well if money is the issue anythign else you do is a bigger waste. A sheet of MDF is 40 dollars, if you can't afford that, quit the hobby until you can because nothing is much cheaper

MDF is $30 a sheet........... Bassboxpro 6 is free and I have never carpeted a box (although I will the one I have now).

id sell what you have, save up and buy 1 great sub, put in in a custom sealed box and run the correct amp power to it

id look into the Fi Q sub
