what do everyone here drive?

mmmm Firehaw..

i worked with a guy who has a firehawk....

he's a drug dealer, lol.

oh well, who's judging, right? lol.

he got his car impounded for doing 180 or 200 km/h in teh city here, lol

and his license revoked for like 6 mohtns and his insurance for 8...

it was a nice car tho, lol.

if you bought a loud-mouth exhaust for a V8 then you didn't save a few grand. Those are one of the best on the market in my opionion. I heard one on a fire hawk not to long ago take off. It was a low 12's car. WOW

Curious, considering I'm the one that bought it.

Seeing as it was me doing the spending, I think I know what I saved and what I did not...

(That's right, It's a Diesel.)

The bra is cheaper than getting the hood repainted every 6 months or so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

50MPG is possible if I behave while driving it though... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Mid to high 40's is the norm for the TDI. Put a chip in it and it'll hold it's own against most gassers with comperable displacement. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Originally posted by jlaine That's interesting... I deliberately avoided the ws-6 when I purchased my 'firechicken', because of the shoddy handling, ugly nose, and the exhaust that resembled a pissed off bumblebee.

I instead chose to take the added savings, and pad it for the aftermarket suspension, SLP loudmouth exhaust, and stereo.

So what did I get? A more aerodynamic look, a few grand in my pocket, a nicer ride, and a meaner sounding exhaust...

And the same amount of HP when I got done with it.

But hey... What do I know... I drive the girlie car... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
well, let's see....the ws-6 is the second quickest(the turbo v-6 is still the quickest) and the fastest bird to date....isn't it called the firehawk?? i think so...as to shoddy handling..u used to driving vettes or something? ain't much american that out-handles it in it's class. as to the ugly part...well all firechickens have been ugly since the next to last generation....and to the "rumble" of the exhaust..u sure u wasn't listening to a v-6 chicken?

and yeah, the 350 isn't hard to produce hp from, in any applications

and they are girlie cars, at least the v-6's......and even they look like the v-8's....they just aren't aggressive looking enuff...hell, even the vettes are getting "soft" looking....they just don't instill the fear a 70 cuda or 67 l-88 vette would....

real quick.....u would have to have spent almost the same money to do the suspension, exhaust, and power adders to equal a ws-6....i doubt u would have saved a few grand in difference after that....

and in the second pic...it looks like a sunfire...def a girlie car

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

but what do i know?? i drive a truck..............

Sunfire, sunfire .....

oh yeah, GMs lowest end vehicle. Cost about $12000 CAN fully stocked.

The only car GM ever put out that wasn't worth looking at. (and to think I owned it's pre-decessor - the Sunbird.)

I'm used to driving 400+ HP '68 camaros, that is neither here nor there... The suspension 'upgrades' to the WS6 make it ride like a pin is shoved up your posterior, and the added hard ride doesn't justify the lack of signifigant handling ability over the more standard forumla package. I cannot justify 5+ grand for an extra ~30hp, and some minor suspension upgrades and shiny rims. Can you?

It was a 2002 WS6, I should know as I was driving it... Right off the lot.

I agree

The trend is toward aerodynamics... But I agree

This is the second time I'm going to reiterate this point... I'm getting tired of being questioned on my own vehicle, with the parts I bought myself.

Suspension components are CHEAP. Even good ones are CHEAP. I can do my entire car for under 1k

Exhaust? You can't even touch 1k for an exhaust, you could if you purchased headers, but the hassle to install them is really not worth the gain right at this point in my opinion.

What's left? Yup... "ram air"

I'll add that with a different style hood, if I ever feel like it.

ls-1 engine is a beast.... some people recording 350+ whp from just regular bolt ons.... no power adders..... that s freakin insane.... and the reason the ws-6 gets more power is from just an exhaust i think, maybe rear end too? i forgot.... well i know that 2001+ ls-1's have the ls-6 intake manifold (i think) to get more power.... i would say a late generation camaro, or a firebird is the best choice for muscle power..... i personally like the ws-6 package but if im short on money, i'd take a regular v8 then soup it up to be faster than a stock ws6.....
