inline fuse as in a fuse holder? i heard it should be within about 6-12" of the battery. i bought 2 amp kits (8gauge and 4gauge) and both have a fuse holder included, which do i use? or both?

Run the 4 ga kit from the front battery to the trunk, within the first 18 inches there needs to be a fuse and fuse holder. More than likely the kit came with a 150 amp fuse and holder. After the fuse, run the rest of the wire to the trunk. There you attach your distro block and you put the 4 ga going to the sub amp and the 8 ga to the comp amp. The runs of wire from the distro should be pretty short.

i wouldn't run 0 gauge from the battery to the trunk? i will be running 210 amps (150 from sub amp and 60 from comp amp).

and is it ok if i put the fuse holder about 10 inches from the battery instead of 18 inches? and will i have a 200 amp fuse in the fuse holder or keep the 120 that it comes with?

All those things are fine. 10" instead of 18"... just should be WITHIN 18". Use the 200A fuse permanently, and run 1/0 to the trunk if you can.
