The Car;Audi A4, B5 style, 2.8; stock.
Currently installed:
HU: Oddly shaped non-"din"-compliant cassette deck;
COMPS: Bose six point component sound; Just about turned to dust;
AUX: JVC 12 Disc changer that fell from it's trunk-mounts. Any takers?
It's operational, I just hate it. The changer broadcasts to 89.1 FM.
The Subwoofers;
I've chosen these for my project; I purchased four, although I'm only going to run two. I plan to trade the others for the other pieces I'll require; namely a decent headunit and amp. I'm still researching quality component speakers.
2x MTX Thunder 8000 ( T8104 ) Year 2000.
Leftovers.
$37 at Mitek.Factory.Outlet; I suspect they'll serve me well.
I've been lurking this forum for a few weeks now.
You saved me from the Audiobahns I was considering. ( 12q. )
Here's what I learned; Audiobahns are overrated; literally.
Also, a 12" speaker isn't going to produce the effect I desire. Yeah, I want low bass; But truthfully, the music I listen to is mostly round. Punchy. Electronica, rap, rock, punk. 10s are a good candidate then, yeah?
My last system was two Rockford Fosgate P1-12;
( punch twelves ) 150W RMS @ 4, as I recall. Apiece.
Pretty decent bump, I guess. But new car means new system.
I hocked them, their sealed enclosure, and an old Pyramid 300W 2-Channel for an extra $200 on top of the price of my ^sh1tty car.

At any rate. Correct me if I'm wrong;
1.1ft^3 ported ~30Hz each?
My trunk is huge.

The comps I'll need are 4" and 6.5"; I think the sixes need to be pretty shallow.
Recommendations for the sub-amp and comps?
Rag on my overstock speakers?
Purchase my CD Changer?
Donate a Brahma?
Steal my car?
This Haiku?
