I'm a newbie but i'm having a custom box built by Moe Lester (thanks man) and was curious what kinda SPL i'll get. I will have a 12" L7 ran off of 1000watt rms (plenty of juice) rockford in about 3.3 cu ft box ported and tuned to 37hz. BTW what songs should i avoid now to keep from hurting my sub?

I'd be happy with 130! I just wanted a guestimate. lol 175 sure. My chargin system currently *****.........70amp alternator and 10 gauge yes thats right 10 GAUGE wire from alt to battery, ground, etc. Only my amp gets a 4ga wire. Don't know why i'm posting this here........anyway great forums you have here. Fast answers!

get yourself a Sub-frequency filter. With that much power on tap, any small rumble in the 10-15hz range could do your sub some damage. You probably want to cut out 32hz on down to be safe.
