What could be fun to do with an RE8?

for the extra sub however, the deal with your room would be awesome, however i would take the sub along with your other subs, amp it, and send all the signals through a crossover so you can filter out the higher bass freq. to the RE8 and the lower ones to the larger subs, this would give you a cleaner sound overall....

yeah but i wouldnt of either unless i had taken my physics class last year. The water would put a lot of pressure on the sub and it does not move like air does, when the sub hits in a sealed box, the air pressure just changes, but water doesnt change that easily.....it is much more dense than air is...
Then just use a little bit of water. That's really what I meant, I didn't mean put 20 gallons in it.

i think JackFrost had a better suggestion about why NOT to fill the box with water. This is coming from Jonahdude's sig.

noooo...don't do that, then the squirrels that live inside and push your subwoofer in and out won't be able to breathe!

HAHAHA thats funny! props to him!

A little bit of water would be cool, it would spike like non other too! (the water would) it might be cool but who knows how it will sound

I can't believe that ended up in Jonah's sig...although, the original context was why you should go with a ported enclosure, IIRC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just make a 100% plexiglass sealed enclosure, invert the RE8 and point it up, and put about 1/4" of water in the enclosure. If it's properly sealed, you have a working enclosure with some fancy water effects. Food dye adds to the fun!
