Why are your diamonds sounding harsh?

i'm pretty sure it's my tweets, but i'm not adjusting the crossover tonight cuz its too dark and cold. There is so many things i've been reading that cause harshness though, like placement of the tweeter, flat surfaces, and the list goes on.

The mids sound amazing though, and it's only harsh on metal ( you know, when they scream)

Yea could be the crossover. Do you think it maybe the amp your using. When I had my diamonds of course it was clear back in 2001( I paid $450 for them back then and now you can get them for under $200) I had them running on an xtant amp and it didn't matter what I put in they didn't sound harsh. I've heard of people having problems with the aluminum tweeters but not the silk. I'm a big fan of the silk. Have you tried turning down the gains on your amp and checking the setting?
