What causes a coil to get like this?

Also looked like there was over-excursion the way the coil is at the bottom.

I got it new from a manufacture

Over Excursion causing the former to bend.

And a clipped signal cause the coil to run, a clipped signal will cause a coil to not only go vertically haywire... but horizontally haywire.
