check out dpreview or steves digicams for reviews on cameras

there are much better cameras, for less money than sony models

any digi cam with 640x480 res @ 30fps video will probably work fine for you tube videos

should be, here is a really boring video of my dog, it is 640x480@30fps i think. obviously since it was winter and an overcast day the lighting sucks, but you get the idea
