my JVC has been solid as a rock. i bought it used 3-4 years ago and it has never gave me any problems. pioneers are good too, if you look past the pico fuse issue.
Personally id only go Eclipse or Apline. I did have a panasonic DD dvd unit that was decent. only others id consider would be pioneer or kenwood excelon series. Some like JVC.
ALso would help to know what you all want to get out of it. Subs down the line, interiors or do you just want it for features, etc
my JVC is a single din flip out. my buddy has a same-era pioneer flip out and his motor function for the flip out doesn't work. i don't know how relevant that is, just wanted to point that out. otherwise both work flawlessly.
yeah i mean i have a JVC kdr-620 got it from crutchfield with everything i needed for 130 shipped. it has usb and front and rear aux. Love every bit of it
I had a JVC sterio amplifier and speakers that are 30 years old and still rocking but the head unit that I got off of Crutchfeild didnt have a good user interface, other than that JVC lasts forever.
I am currently running a pioneer and it works great, but for some reason i find myself missing my old JVC headunit. Solid units that never give any problems.
