what box to go with Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D2

i have 2 Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D2 12's how big of a box should i go with and ported or sealed? and what should it be tuned to? and which would be the best wood to have it built

Stay away from sealed enclosures for these.

Depending on the amount of space you have to work with and your desired tuning, do between 2.2 and 3 cubic feet per woofer, with approximately 35-45 cubic inches of port, tuned between 32 and 38 (depending on your listening preferences).

The standard box-building material is MDF.

I had 2 of these powered by a Orion 2500d @ .5 ohm in a 3.2 cube box tuned to 32hz.. They slammed and sounded great but needed a bigger box. If I were to do it again I would do 5 cubes tuned to 36hz

I would stick with a vented design for those woofers. Specifically check out http://www.atrendusa.com. Atrend has a part number 12DVR that would work very nice with these.

I will let everyone know the max dimensions for those impala trunks 00-05 is width 36" height 17" and depth 22"

With those dimensions you have to shave two spots on the edges to get it to squeeze in there but with 16.5" height you should be fine.

Came out to 4.9 cubes net at 35 hz. 67.5 square inches port area. Should work fine as thats the biggest box your goin to be able to fit in there
