What are you up to this weekend?

I'm new into recording and stuff, so I've been spending like 4 hours a day mixing drum samples. I don't have a drum kit, played in a lot of bands in my HS days, and I wright a lot of music. The only way I keep myself interested in guitar is recording and creating drum tracks to go with it. Believe it or not, I'm not a big people person, and I prefer to do this typa stuff solo over hanging out with a band, not like the god old days. People just seem to make me mad now, always doing things I don't wanna do and what have you.

Like I said, I'm new to this, so I've been trying to get the drums sounding good first.

I tried that one time hoping for a cool intro to a song, it was just a bunch of grose sloshy sounds.

I bet some people would be into that if you autotuned it

Just FL Studios 10

I had a buddy give it to me for free to make some beats and to dabble with it a bit. He got it for like $10 at a flee market or something a few years back, I suspect it to be a pirated version. I'm not to interested in anything more ATM as its just a hobby, but I'll be looking to buy something if I get more into it.

Yeah, its way more advanced than anything I've ever used. I've been playing guitar for, IDR, like 7 or 8 years. I used to use a program called Guitar Pro. You'd tab out your riffs and it'd play them back, but they sounded all electronic, but it was nice to have something that would A) Put your riffs on record and B) play them back to make drum beats to go along (which it did that too). But it never sound very realistic and very robotic. Now I'm learning how to compress and form that drum samples in the program to what I'm trying to get. Its all pretty interesting, but way more complicated and complex than I initially expected. I do dabble a bit in EMD too, no really dubstep, but trap.
