what are those boxes?

i see boxes w/ circle ports. it ports to the middle of the box and the piping comes out about 12" out of the box. what are those boxes, can they be built using factory specs of the speaker....

im assuming your talkin about areo ports, and yes they can be made to factory specs

they are ported using aero ports or pvc tubes, as opposed to a slot port.

can they be built using the factory specs of a sub? how do you determine where the ports are placed and how much piping is needed, where it's flared. what are the advantages of a box like that?

to answer one question, yes, they can be made to factory specs. i don't know much about them beyond that.
