What are these? MOSFETS?

sometimes when the output stage takes a crap, the amp will pull alot of current and make the power terminals get realy hot.... it will melt things until the amp just dies...or goes into protect...

yea ,ive got an older hk2000d sittin in my closet with that problem, was fine with me yrs ago but the kid i sold it to had some sort of issue..... so if i find parts for it ill rebuild it i gave him a lil mtx amp to use for now....

i could imagine.... doesnt that thing need higher voltage anyways? , i didnt think they were supposed to run on 12v too well....

If you run it normally at 2 ohms and up. Like its supposed to be run unmodded an all. It will work just fine on 12 volts. You wont see the power like you would on higher voltage.
