i just watched the movie and knew the poor guy was a dumbass.

 
to the OP

before you post again, use your brain. It a magical thing.

You want loudness..........SPL

SPL = sound pressure level

pressure = developed from air movement

the more air moved = the more pressure

So, when talkign in the aspects of comparing the same subs, and different sizes/quantities of the sub, its pretty f*cking simple.

cone area * xmax = volume of air moved

volume of air * number of subs = total air moved

do yourself a favor and think/search before you post, so you dont look retarded.

 
Rule of thumb is ported is 3 dbs louder than sealed.

Double your power, 3 db increase.

Double your cone area, 3 db increase.

But as we all know those numbers go out the window once you get to the real world.
