What are the differences between the ID v.3 and IDQ v.2?

The IDv3 has more displacement, and hence more output potential.

If going for pure sound quality, I'd look at the IDQv2

If looking for good sound quality with a little more output, I'd look at the IDv3

Have you heard the two? How much better does the IDQ sound over the ID? I'm more a sound quality guy, but if the IDQ doesn't sound drastically better, I'll probably just go with the ID.

I have the idq12" & the sound is very pleasing. Very efficient sub. bass is nice and tight. Sounds very loud, but doesn't drown out the front stage. Never heard the id3 though. I did the same search & IDq is what I chose & very happy I did.

I'd consider the IDQ, but SD has been out of IDQ's for a while.

I interested in hearing from somebody who's listened to both subs or somebody who can compare the IDv3 to a similar sounding sub.

After further listening of the ID10v3, I wasn't impressed with the output. It blended very well and sounded very musical but I couldn't get it to "bump" when I wanted to, like I could the IDMAX. I upped the gain ever so slightly and let it break in another 15-20hours. This made a HUGE difference, wow. This thing gets low and dirty and sounds amazing. It must be the small space needed to fill with bass, but compared to the IDMAX I had sitting in the trunk of my old car, this thing hits just as hard. The ID10v3 behind the seat in my tacoma vs the IDMAX in the trunk of my saturn...I'd take the ID10v3 combo any day. I haven't heard the ID10v3 in a trunk setup so I can't directly compare, but anyone looking to fill their truck with great cheap bass, I just don't see why anyone would look any further. Very impressed.

So he wasnt impressed at first, the after 20 hours he was?? I find that statement confusing.

If you listen to mostly rap go with the v3, if mostly rock music then go with the IDQ

Anyone heard the ID, IDQ and the Assassin? I might just make a blind buy some time next week.. not that there's anything wrong with buying one of these 3 subs blindly. Great prices and supposedly great sound.

I've had a few different ID setups

First was one 12" ID sealed approx 1.15 cube box, sounded awesome for one 12"

next, the trio of ID12's in my trunk with approx 900 rms , sounded f'kin amazing, way loud, low, tight , accurate, blended perfectly yet hit so loud you'd have a hard time breathing during certain songs

Next is a 12" IDQ sealed, sounds great, never really had it there long enough to give a good review on , seems to hit the low low's a little better than the ID

Now i have my pair of 15" IDQ's sealed up against the back seat, gets so low it shakes shit that I didn't know was dynamic.

Overall I'd say go with ID's , IDQ's if you want a little more SQ, i just liked the output/sq blend of the ID that I wouldn't hesitate to go either way.

Only AA sub i've ever heard was a 15" ava, was comparible to my IDQ's

Sounds like a toss-up.. thanks for the heads-up. Looks like I'm going with whatever's available next week.

So you're saying you liked the ID's more than the IDQ's?
Yeah, maybe it was just because the quanitity, but I really liked how they sounded.

I ended up getting them refubs, at like 50 bucks a piece.

If theres not a huge price difference, i'd go with the IDQ's but, if the ID's are consideribly cheaper, get the ID"s

I'd say the ID's a good amount cheaper.. it's $95.98. The IDQ was around $120, but it isn't in stock anymore.

The ID's still sound great though, don't they? What can you compare them to?
