I only want to Spend $150 at the Most for a pair of 6X9's. If i need to spend a little more, that would be fine. They will be ran off a 50x2 amp at 4ohms
Infinity 693.5, MB quarts, boston acoustics RM9, kenwood excelon x698, JBL Gti, etc and you can find some of them for less than 150 at ebay, they all can handle the 50 rms ok
i would get sony xplod 6x9's. i had heard that their subs **** *** but they're really not bad. i've got xplods in the back of my car that are being pushed by 250X two, and they sound like a couple of low powered 8's are 10's. if you'e looking for hi's just turn you crossover to the high notes, and they'll scream. plus, they only cost about 80 bucks. i'd say not bad
Before I switched to components in my rear deck I owned a pair of Pioneer(Premier) 6x9's and they sounded very good......I paid $140 and they handle a max of 240 watts per speaker. I don't know whtat the rms rating is for them but I was blown away by the sound quality when I faded to the back and listened to just them with my subs. There are lots of good 6x9s out there.......Pioneer is the only ones I've had experience with and I was NOT disappointed. Happy listening and good luck with your decision.
