I am going to compete in an upcoming MECA show for the first time and i was wondering what to expect. I am running a 18 AA havoc and a SAZ3000d, or a 9515 and the 3000d, depends on if i want to build a box for the 15

SPL

I would be in AS1 or AS2 class im sure.

What do most people run in these classes? (junk? or some decent stuff)

Any input, advice or tips would be great!

Thanks,

William

WELL I HAVE AN 18 Fi btl 08 off of a sundown 3000d and i only hit 145.7 in the kick with my drivers side window down. but mostly because i am tuned 2 32hz and its in a f150 97' and on top of all of that my box flexs pretty good so thats allso hurting me

did you compete in an amateur class?

It really depends there are new pressure class formulas this year so scores should be down from last year. Last year scores were really loud in AS classes compared to years before.

it depends. prolly low 140's at the beginning of the year. last years scores were high cause we were using little 5 amp fuses that could handle more than 5 amps of current. that's how Ben burped a 151.0 at world finals with like 30 amps of fusing and Austin and Ryan were able to set new records for AS 2 and AS 3. I dont know who's all in AS1 this year but that's why MECA has a limit on how many fuses we can have now. Cause we were all using 10 or 15 5 amp fuses. our fuse blocks were almost 2 feet long lol but you dont have to worry cause they all moved up to Street classes now . . . except unless your competing in AS3.

i did a 141.9 last year in as1 with crappy equipment. i HIGHLY doubt u will get a good burp in as1 with an 18, u can run like 25 amps of fusing and with a 15 like 35 or sum gay shit like that, and only 1 fuse. its retarded //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

We did low 148's in AS1 and AS2 last year. I don't see that happening this year.

Sad thing is, those score could have been higher //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
