What amp would you recommend for 2 Rockford Fosgate P2D2-12 12" Subs

I have a '99 Nissan Altima right now with a regular battery and alternator. I wasn't sure if I'd need to upgrade the alternator in this case. The impedence of those subs is 2 ohms.

Also I'm not really sure what a 140a alternator or agm battery are. Will they cost just as much as the subs and amp? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
yea often times they will cost more. im just trying to bring to your attenetion that if you run that much power that you may go through a few batteries and an alternator so you might as well go and buy an agm battery and a h.o alternator. pm mylows10 on this site and he can help you with those if you choose to go that route and ill look up your cars alternator quick to see what size it is and roughly how many watts you can safely run

Ok so my car has a 100a alternator.

So i would guess your cars electrical uses roughly 40amps. So you have 60 amps to play with. To find out what kind of watts you can play with you multiply the 60 amps times 14 volts which is roughly what your car should be running. You get 840 watts. I think if you were to get a nice agm you can be okay but if u wana never have to worry i would get a h.o alternator and agm. And do the big 3 in 0 gauge. Hope that can help you brotha. N than you will always have room to upgrade

Yes thanks for your help.

This is the first time I've heard of the big 3 upgrade. I'm looking into it now.
