last I knew the soundstream DTR amps are nice
how much were you looking to spend on the 1700d's?

You can get teh Soundstream DTR 2200D pretty cheap currently

well there is a DTR1.1700 on ebay brand spankin' new for $220 free shipping

and the hifonics from sonicelectronix that's about $270 plus shipping

they both give 1700watts so i might get the soundstream if i cant find anything better

I wouldn't call them high end necessarily, but they're good amplifiers. I've always liked HK amps (JBL/Infinity)...

Yup. I'm not telling you to buy one. It's just good to be aware of them...

oh and one more thing, most mono and class D amps have 4 speaker terminals on em. two positives and two negatives. all im gonna use is one positive and one negative. which ones am i gonna plug em into?

Doesn't matter. They're connected internally.

just to let people know if any amp is set properly they all do the same thing..... amplify....brands don't matter

and for the soundstream 1700 some sites say that the power and ground is 4AWG and some say 2AWG. is it all right if i just jam some good ol' 0AWG in there?
