What amp to get with Terminator 12 inch subs?! Complete Newbie! Help!

Hey everyone. I have just found a new car, and am very happy with my 2006 Scion TC. Now i really want to upgrade the sound system and am on a very close budget.

I decided to pick up the 12 inch terminator subs. I really want to be able to feel the car vibrate with my end result. The problem is I have absolutely no clue what amp to get and what wires/cables to get too.

If anyone could recommend me an amp that doesnt handicap these subs too hard, while keeping the bank happy, thatd be great! Bonus if you cant link me a compatible installation kit!

Hopefully you didn't buy that terminator sub already... Get sound qube and sundown E woofers if on a budget for woofers.

You might think the subs are a good buy because they come with a box but don't do it. Those subs are crap and so is the box. Get a soundqubed HDS212 with a custom box and a good quality amp and it will sound way better than these ever could

You say you want sound you can feel but that also costs $$. And that can be a wide range. Some people here have earth shattering systems.

well what are some budgets? how much is a air shaking rig gonna cost? realistically i'm willing to spend 500$ max for now, i want a quick build that i don't need to drop a **** ton on but if 500$ can't get me what i want, then it looks like i gotta do some saving.

Those soundqubed subs, or the sundown e series is a good place to start. And no, not just any sub box will do. You will want to get a box built for your particular sub, with the proper tuning, trust me, I just had one built, that I had tuned to low, and I kicking myself everytime that I turn it on. As far as install kits go, hit up mylows10, he.sales pre cut amp install kits, as well as big3 kits.

Check this miscellaneous for sale thread, i believe @Boomsday has a single 12 box for sale for $95 shipped. Just make sure you match the sub cutout to the box cutout. I know sundown subs run a lil small and soundqubed has big ones. Ask booms what the cutout is and he will point you in the right direction.

Just an FYI, your not going to get a custom 12 box any cheaper then $95 unless you build yourself.

You don't need an amp for that sub just hook it directly to the battery and it will (smoke) everything. Lol. Seriously though a lot of cheap stuff is just crap

there are a few that are good but learn here first before spending any money.

Get a soundqubed hds2/312 with a custom box built and a good amp look on CL and Facebook groups your town might have a car audio group for used amps including wiring kit I'm in $330 I'm my system its defnatley the loudest system I've had. HDS215 ($95 bf sale) custom box tuned 35hz ($160) infinity reference 1211a ($50 off FB) cheap voodoo wiring kit which I will upgrade soon ($25 Ebay) just keep an eye out for good deals People on this forum are more than happy to tell you if it's a good buy or not
