I just purchased a brand new American Bass E1224 for $85 which in my mind is a steal. But idk what amp I should get to pair up with it, I'm trying to stay below $125 preferably, but I'll go up to $150 if I have to. Also would I need to upgrade my alternator or power system in order to run the sub?

That sub can take over 1000wrms? And it's a dual 4 ohm coil?

Damn....I would put a 2000wrms @ 2 ohm amp on that.......but it will cost WAY higher than $150.

I mean you could also take a 1000wrms amp and tune it with a -3db or -6db tone to get that most out of it, but again at 2 ohms, you may have to spend more.

I'll suggest a JP8 amplifier.
I believe you can wire your sub to 2 ohm. It's Dual voice coil 4 ohm, correct?
JP8 @ 2 ohm does 900 watts.
