Because they are garbage, you could look for something like a Phoenix gold xenon x600.1, or infamous's Crystal would be a good amp as well.

Also Do not just set your gains at 3/4 as mentioned above. set them according to the preout voltage of your deck, or you can do a search of gain setting using a dmm ( try the amp section I think it's stickied).

If you buy an amp like infamous's I'd do the dmm method and set it at about 6-700 watts.

Higher quality.

It would survive abuse better, and (probably) give you cleaner power ....less distortion when pushed hard.

It also has a better 24db crossover built in, which means a steeper slope, so you can better tune the sub to match your front speakers.

Those Xenons have a pretty good reputation.

Thats called 'adjusting the crossover'.

You'll have to decide on the amp first so we know what kind of crossover it has.

When you decide on an amp there are many good guys on here than would probably help talk you through it if the manual confuses you (which they usually do!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif).
