I just bought JL Audio's Stealthbox for my 93 325i (bmw). This is exactly from JL's website,

"The Hard Data:

Contains two 8IB4 subwoofers in a semi-enclosed infinite baffle setup. 150 Watt power handling. Can be wired for 8 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono. "

So I need an amp to power just the subs. The speakers handle 150 watts. Should i wire these for 8ohm stereo or 4ohm mono?

And what amp do you recomend for me? I heard JBL, JL, and Rockford Fosgate are good. As for price i would like to keep it under $240.

Oh and please suggest actuall models not just a name brand.

Thanks!

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
