What AMP for 12" JL Audio W7???

Wassup people... I just got a 12" w7 and i dont have a clue what amp to buy... my spending limit in $450 - $500.... i want to give that ***** at 1000 watt rms...

please help me...

1400+ watts at 2-4 ohms....should do the w7 nicely.....they dont make em anymore tho so your gonna have to look for a used or a refurb.....or PM me about mine....

isnt the voice coil wierd on those, like dual 3 or single 3? everybody says get a Jl 1000

what about this... the Hifonics XX Hercules Mono-Block... its 1500 watts x 1 channels into 2 Ohms... it looks good and sounds good but i don't know anybody whos ever used a hionics...does anybody have one and if so, is it good???

uhm I would reccomend getting a JL 1000/1 over a hifonics amp !

Plus that way you can start system matching. You have a JL sub, a jl 1000/1, as you get more into the hobby you will prolly get speakers and a speaker amp, you can get a JL 300/4 for your speaker amp, then in another year when you read ALL about fiberglassing and see everyones threads you can do a custom install in your trunk with your w7, 1000/1, and 300/4.

uh... related to this.. i have a brand new 12w7 after i blew out my old one - and i have a jbl 1200.1 amp but it is one ohm stable, so it underpowers it. should i keep the three 12"w3's i have now and keep that amp or sell those and hook up my 12w7 to a kickerKX 1200.1 amp (which i can get brand new through work for 300 dollars)?? i know that the w7 SQ punishes the w3s, but what am i sacrificing in terms of loudness, SPL, and such? the w7 is 3 ohm stable and single voice coil.

defently get a jl 1000/1 kuz that does 1000 rms at any ohm and that sub i believe is 3 ohm
