ok so first off i have a 12" kicker comp r in a single enclosure with the kicker zx 750 amp hooked to it.. i have a jvc kwv20bt headunit in a suv. so my problem is im trying to set the amp with a DMM so i figured out i need the volts to read 40 when i get it to do that the sub just isnt loud at all with no bass boost. so when i actually plug the bass controller into the amp with the bass all the way down on both the amp and controller the ac volts does not get past 8v. when i turn the bass knob up on the amp but keeping it down on the controller i can only get it up to 37v and once the gain knob gets past half way it will not go over 37 like it maxes out. as it is right now it does sound pretty good but on really bass heavy songs i get a little smell of clipping. i have the gain just a little over halfway.. is there something im doing wrong? thank you
