what a shitty christmas...

Nice attitude:rolleyes: You act like giving you everything you want for christmas is somehow something that they must do:laugh:
It's not that way for me buddy. Plus I have a 6yr old and just had another kid in october. That's who my mom spent the most money on, and that's the way it should be. I buy for my mom because she's been through, given, and made alot of sacrifices for me and my sisters and it makes me feel good giving some of the things she could never have.
wtf do you think i'm arguing dude?

my mom SPECIFICALLY asked me to email her a list of things i wanted for christmas. then neglected about 3/4 of it, and even told my brother that i didn't want anything. THEN went on to say that i didn't really ask for much.

I went out and got exactly what my mom wanted and asked for.

don't get me wrong, i love giving presents, it makes me feel great, but it feels equally good getting presents.

ummmm...the kiddies get pretty high off of Mt Dew as it is,..... no need for alcohol.... But I will let the oldest taste it.... better to do that then make them wonder what it is and what it tastes like... preventing drinking problems in the future... they wont be curious and want to try/ expirement...
My uncle let me taste some johnny walker when I was like 10, I couldn't breathe:laugh: . I swore I was never going to drink alcohol again. That was until I hit my teens;)

tell that one to MikeofTulsa
me an mike debate a LOT of stuff! No different!
Im just saying, it worked for my parents, my sister, and a few other relatives. Why do you try something new in the first place? Because you are curious! Remove that and let them make their own decisions..if you are constantly told no, you will eventually figure out a way to get what you want anyways.

and your still an *** Pitbull! :p -- >

my 2 cents =

for chrismas/birthday (since my bday is dec 16th they tend to combine the presents) my mom shot me money to fix my brakes , 200 and insurance money which is another 200. BUT i HAVE to PAY IT BACK. other than that i got a 50$ gift card. i mean yes i got other stuff from my sister , my dad who is re-married and i only see every few years, and gramps, but thats all i got from my immediate fam. FIFTY DOLLARS. i didnt make a fukking thread about it. grow up. youre in college. most people dont even go to college. buy the shit yourself when you make money with your above-average paying job college got you.

Parents have the right to raise their children as they see fit.. I would never cause harm to my children... I know my self personally was given the opportunity to pretty much try anything I asked... (well, not drugs like marijuana, coke, etc,,,, my parents were not that reckless) I learned a respect for alcohol and found out I HATE smoking! LAWL! I will drink a little alcohol (***** beer, wine, champagne, cocktails, etc.) but I don't live my life around drinking and I have respect for it.

I hope my children do the same-- thats all I am saying...

my list to my mom included the following items:entourage DVD seasons 1 and 2

LOST DVD seasons 1 and 2

zoolander DVD

Jim Cramer's books

some new jeans

a new sweatshirt

madden 2007 on xbox 360

ncaa march madness 2007 on xbox 360

subscription to ESPN.com's INsider

a pair of new shoes

and new subs/amps, because mine were stolen... unrealistic wish though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

not too overwhelming for a college kid, right?

of those, i got:

season 2 of Entourage... would have been completely pointless if i hadn't already seen season 1. luckily i have.

one of Jim Cramer's books

some jeans, which i don't think even fit.

a sweatshirt

madden 2007

i should have expected this. my mom never gets me anything, ever. i hope i don't sound greedy, but i put some thought into my gifts for my mom. and after we opened our presents, my mom said "well, its a small christmas, you guys really didn't ask for much"

i've gotten used to buying everything i want on my own, so i'll probably go buy the stuff i didn't get, then get an earful from my mom about how i'm spending my money unwisely.
You sound like a complete *** in this post

wtf do you think i'm arguing dude?my mom SPECIFICALLY asked me to email her a list of things i wanted for christmas. then neglected about 3/4 of it, and even told my brother that i didn't want anything. THEN went on to say that i didn't really ask for much.

You neglected to mention that in your first post. If she asked you to give her a list of things for her to get you and led you to believe that's was exactly what she would be getting you, then it's understandable to be dissapointed(but not to say you had a shitty christmas). In that case, I'm sorry. But to say things like "my mom never get's me anything, ever." , "I should have expected this." and "expectations" make you sound like an *******. But you still should be grateful you have received anything for christmas.

And IMO the tradition of giving christmas gifts should be a suprise, not telling someone exactly what to get for you. Opening up a gift when you don't know what it is is 90% of the reward for me.

And not saying that this is the way you come across in real life, but if it is, then maybe that's why your mother favors your brother.
