So this turned out to be a horrible day.. First it was a shit day at work, i got done early at least ( 1:30 ) But instead of going home like i always do.. I decided to go look for a new car, what a day to pick, I know some people might not see my point in this thread but some might.. I was testing cars til about 6 toniight then went home to find my mom in tears and said that i lost my cat i had for 17 years.. I no its only a cat, but still she did not show her age at all she was a tiny little thing spunky, the nicest animal ive ever seen, now she died at 6 pm my mom said.. Sorry for making an emo thread but it really sucks to have had such a wonderful fun loving pet for that long to find out that i missed her last few hrs from testing out cars.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

sry bout the cat, I know how people get attached to 'em. But personally I think they're furry demons, mainly because I'm deathly allergic to em. But yeah, sorry man.
and the thread title made me think of the phrase "Proper planning prevents piss poor performance, pal."

It would be "only a cat" to those outside of your family. It is strange how we end up attaching such importance to our pets but even knowing that never seems to keep it from happening anyway.

When I had to put my Great Dane down last year (that I had had since she was 8 weeks old) it was like losing my best friend (certainly the most loyal female I have ever had in my life before I met my wife!) so I truly do feel your pain.

Sorry to hear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

17 years is a nice long life for a cat, and it sounds like you treated her well, with love and affection.

A cat probably couldn't ask for more, so you should take solace in the fact that you were the sole provider of a life of happiness for another living being //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now, to find me someone to finance my life of luxury for the privledge of my company!

oh my god dude, i fear the day i lose my dane.. I have had him since he was about 8 weeks and he means an indescribable amount to me. Danes have the best personalties and are the sweetest dogs...they are like the definition of unconditional love. My dane is the one living thing thats been with me threw the best and worst of times.. when i was trying to kick xanax he was the thing that kept around... he is the thing that, no matter how down i am, all i have to do is look at him and he puts a smile on my face. I dont even care if you call me emo.. i

To the OP, i understand how hard it is to lose a pet and you have my sympathy. You shouldnt feel bad about being gone looking at cars, i mean you had no idea. I mean its not like you were off looking at kittens or something...

Getting a pet is a small tragedy. I mean if everything goes perfectly...you get the best pet in the world...love it as much as you can... you know its going to die long before you do... Its written in the fine print... with the joy comes the pain and short of killing yourself their is no way to avoid it. Just how it is...a tragedy in the best of circumstances..

ya, i know what ya mean i had my boxer that i had for like gosh ever really my parents took him to the vet one night wen i was out, i came home and they told me they had to put him down, he had cancer and it was killing him and he wouldnt have lasted much longer....i was mad at my self for not bein there for him for a long time man but you have to remember that its not your fault, you were goin along with your life and you didnt know....sorry about your cat
