Ive gone back and forth on this and havent really gotten anywhere. Im about to change the setup to something like this:
Car is a 1993 Lexus (Horrible to get sound into cabin)
I decided to remove my rear speakers
Im building a sealed box that will fire through my rear speaker area in the rear deck
The box can go up to around 3.5-4 cubic feet if neccesary
The amplifier being used is a Hifonics 1606d (Rated at 1600x1@1ohm)
Im confused on what subs because of what can handle the power and sound ok while mantaining a reasonable budget ($150 a sub used or on ebay)
Eveeryone says Hifonics amps are over-rated, but I read alot about how the '06 models put our **** close to actual power.
Subs Ive really thought about were:
Type R 10's
CVR 10's
Premier 2504 10's
Looking for around 75% SPL, 25% SQ
Which of these 3 would be able to take a beating daily and still sound good?
Any other subwoofers you guys could think of off the top of your head?
