the brahma is deeper i believe... the brahma uses triple stack magnets .... where as the XXX uses double stack

May I throw out there a suggestion against the Brahma? In your OP you mentioned being louder than the BL , and with more than 1500+ watts on tap the Brahma may not last very long. I'm all for the Brahma, but I think the power should be kept down a bit other than the 1600+ watts that you have available.

Keep in mind that Jake @ Sundown rates his amps very conservatively. If he says it'll do 1500 watts, he means it will do that amount of power for an hour solid. That's right, 60 minutes, non-stop.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to pass on the Brahma even though I've been wanting to try one out for years. I think the lvl 4 xl is going to be my best bet....or the 3510e. I just can't make up my mind between those.

getting the brahma, selling the huge amp and buying a smaller amp and saving money might not be a good idea.

Do you mean, "might not be a bad idea"? The price difference between the brahma and the xl isn't too significant. I'm having a hard enough time selling off the equipment that I have at the moment anyways, I don't really want to add another amp to the classifieds section.

I'll let you in on a secret....I'm well aware of that. Just because I signed up here a few months ago doesn't mean I'm brand new to the hobby. And you're the one who told me to sell the big amp???

Sorry I was just getting confused by your posts. I thought you were suggesting to sell the 1500d, then you were saying keep it and keep the gains low. But yes, loudness is more of a priority. I liked how my bl sounded, so I'm not looking into a pure sq woofer. I think either the lvl 4 xl or the 3510 should suit my needs. But I haven't heard either of them so I was hoping someone who has would share their opinion.

yes I said to sell it. But you then said you were too poosay to sell it so i came up with an alternative.

I can't tell you how loud the Brahma 10 will get, but I was able to put up 140db w/ a b15 w/ my ghetto rigged 96 camry. yeah, i know a 15" is much different than a 10", but i just thought i'd throw it out there.
