I went into a local shop by my house today. I was greated by the GM of the shop and I asked about a job. He told me they just so happen to be looking for a shop ***** - Perfect for me. He informed me they are looking for someone to train from scratch and someone who will clean the shop, run out to their second location and work both locations if they are short. Now I figured me being knowledgeable wont hurt, just keep my mouth shut and eventually become an installer. They are a Kicker, Morel, RE, Pioneer, Alpine and Kinetics dealer. Not a bad equipment line. Starting pay is minimum wage for the first 90days, then raises after that point.

Any advice on what I can do to stand out from the rest? I am writing and updating my resume tonight and tomorrow I will drop it back off, wearing dress clothing, making myself look as presentable as possible.

Also, just thought I'd mention I currently have a job, Im looking for a second.

speaker shops are like the nba their all tech and us caraudios are like street ballers. the shops dont want our bullshit in their game because our set ups bust tricks on they weak shit.

just do ur job and dont slack off.. and dont second guess anyone that already works there cause they are prop correct if its a good shop. and stay busy... if there is nothing to do really ask for somthing to do

Luckly for me:

I cant stand a dirty shop.

I love RE audio, so I wont have a problem with the products.

They just dropped JL audio - thank god

Maybe I can open there eyes to new products, try to get DD audio into the shop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks for the good words guys!

lucky you, i went into a shop 2 days ago to try to get a job, they seemed like idiots to me. good luck man, like everyone else said dont run your mouth on how to do something until you see how they do it first.

talk to them alittle bit get on there good side, but dont get annoying.. and basically be there little ***** around the shop and u should do fine maybe up until u get to know the people alittle better and how the place works..then maybe after about a month or so start to show them what u really know

I figured keep my mouth shut, maybe one day a guy will get curious to see my setup and that will show them I know a little bit. The first time I walked into the shop I made sure I bought an item - they atleast know I am into car audio then. Ask questions on things I dont understand, and show Im willing to learn might look good.
