nothing hitten out here so far too cold and the lakes down to much. should be getting fish like bill dance in 3-4 weeks

No it didn't get away, it was a jack. We threw it back. My kid caught the fish on his pole, he's only 5, so he can't really tell when a fish is on, so he knows when the cork goes under the water to pull up.

resized the pics. The first is an alligator, the second is the pic of the jack we caught. We also caught 6 snapper ranging in size from 10" to maybe 14". Fairly small a few decent sized snapper. Also saw a couple dolphins, but by the time I ran back to grab my camera they weren't coming up out of the water anymore. There aren't too many places that have both alligators, dolphins, and manatees. Also caught a turtle.
