today i finally got one of my buddies to hook up my sd2.5s and all i have to say is WOW!! these subs pound so **** hard it's not even funny. i haven't really heard many systems in my day, but outta all the systems i have heard, these sd2.5s definitely pound. my friend called up audioque and he talked to dj and he needed some specs, but for some reason dj wouldn't give them to him and he just told him to build a ported box tuned to about 37 hz and it will put out good results. my friend was kinda pissed he wouldnt give out the info he needed and he thought dj was talkin out his ***, so he spent a couple hours building the ported box and he tuned it to 37 hz like dj said. once we got everything up and running, he was so surprised on how hard they hit. i definitely need to do the big 3 upgrade and get another battery and possible an alternator. when i crank up the stereo, my headlights start dimming real bad. and of course i am going to have to get some highs soon. but yea, i'm going to have to get some pics up soon. after all, i am very satisfied with my sd2.5s. i am in dire need of some highs now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Good to hear as I've been wanting to try 1 or 2 of them some time. DJ is a great guy, talked to him yesterday.

I would bet the reason he didn't bother telling your friend all the specs, etc.. is that DJ knows what works with his subs, so all you need is box size, tuning, port area and you're good to go.

How much power you throwing at them? What size box did you put them in?

i'm powering them with a kicker kx1200. i'm not too sure of the box size lol. he was just building away and didnt tell me anything.
