well, it appears i cooked my subs. i thought i matched them pretty well with the amp output. i purchased 2 powerbass m10d and their asa 800.2. wired them 2ohm per channel. those speakers are rated at 300rms/600peak. the amp is 400 at 2 ohm per channel. must not have set the gain correct. i guessed.

so looks like i am in the market for some new subs. thinking about jumping up to 12s in a ported box. i don't have a lot of room. the 10s were in a 1.12 cuft sealed box. i can go a little more. have a budget of about 200. i know, pretty low, but i don't need anything crazy. just a couple subs that would match the power output of the amp well.

Someones selling some Sundown E8's in the classifides, those would be nice in a small box with your power. Also Glacticmonkey is selling 15" ascendant audio's for 200 a piece. Just browse the classifides and look at what peaks your interest.

how well would that amp push a single RE Audio SEX12? if i wired the sub to 4 ohm and bridged the amp. amp will do 800 at 4ohm bridged..

Yes I purchased them new last year and they sat for a while before installing them. The only reason I am selling is because I want to try out a SA-12 so these need to go, otherwise I would keep these in. The output from them is accurate, clean, tight, and loud. They are great sq drivers with a lot of output. Since I have only had them in for such a short period of time I don't know what their sweet spot is box wise. If you wanted you could throw them in the box you currently have then maybe in the future build a ported enclosure for them. With a ported enclosure they won't need as much power because their efficiency will go up.
