First of all, that is complete BS. The republicans are the smear artists. Remember the swift boat campaign?? That was Karl Rove's work and who does he work for again??

The new Senate doesn't even have a month under their belt yet. Also, I haven't heard anything about an impeachment proceeding yet. Not sure where you heard that.

lol your president and the old congress were thee most liberal government we have probably ever had. THEY were liberial with money and did nothing with it. mismanaged everything you cant blame the dems for that as they didnt have enough votes to swing in or out of anything.
wanna play the same *** mariage, religion or social card about any of this? the republicans did nothing about any of it same way with abortion not a darn thing. here in Indiana we have a republican gov that sold a 200 mile stretch of highway off to australia even after he knew 66% of the people were against it. he is also known for shutting down companies as the CEO before he was elected and pocketing those peoples pentions for his own. your health care has sky rocketed as with college....what have they done for the american people? reguardless of who wins taxxes will go up but for some reason depending on who gets to make the laws about that makes me wonder who would end up paying the most as everyone that makes under 280k already pays more dollar per dollar earned than people who make over that.....

Just because I agree with conservative ideas doesn't mean I think the government is doing a great job. I used to support Bush like he was my dad, and the longer he's in office, the more I'm concurring that he's a fuckup. Dubya and this past congress haven't done anything right in a while.

But in a nutshell here's what I believe:

First and foremost: The government needs to get its hands out of everyone's pants! The government is way too big and covers too many aspects of everyone's lives. It's not the job for the governmant to pay for everyone's healthcare and retirement. The government also shouldn't be sifting through everyone's phone calls and emails.

A government that is smaller, and doesn't pay for all its peoples shit requires less taxation. When people learn to accept that the government is there to protect the people from themselves and foreign adversaries, they will learn to pay for their own shit instead of relying on the government.

A government that is large and pays for lots of peoples stuff, requires more taxes. As people demand more services from the government, taxes will go higher, and eventually, it will end up as a communist government.

Yes, abortion and gay marraige and all that stuff is bad. But hey, it's pretty much a fact of life now, and God can deal with people who have gay buttsecks and kill their babies as he pleases. Its not the government's job to say if those are allowed.

I really couldn't say I would hate him any less if I were a republican. I am a liberal by birth and dem by choice. Bill Clinton let us dems down when he lied because it gave the right wing alot of ammo to use against him and our party. Just like Bush has let his party down by all the lies and genocide he has committed. Not to mention the war he and his party have waged on the middle class. If I had my way there would be atleast 4 major parties instead of the 2 have these days. Atleast then we would have more choices.

Personally I don't ever see the republican party stopping or even slowing down the smearing. In reference to the highlighted phrase: I really wish Kerry had put the "nice guy taking the high road" image aside for the last election and gotten dirty himself. I hope the DEMS give Edwards the nod in '08 and he doesn't let up and become another failed attempt like Kerry was.

I agree..it is entertaining, and more importantly, it is educational.. debate always is... the problem is, when one loses sight of the reason for the debate and makes it a personal attack because your opponent doesn't or wont agree with you..that's politics... get over it and keep it from being unneccisarily personal.

Eugenics: I vote for my own reasons. I don't like Hillary, I have NEVER voted Democrat, but I am VERY interested to see what happens (hopefully in my lifetime) if we finally get "the old white farts" out of office and let someone else run the country for a bit... hey, if it's a mistake, there's always a way to fix it...

personnally..I am very dissapointed with the so-called shit fest and the continuously declining state of our Political Governing Bodies. Take the money out of it and we may get surprised.

no republicans are for lining their pockets from pharmicutical companies and such to drive prices higher and expecting those with less money to pay more on the percentage that they make towards taxes. it isnt just about people getting free rides its about serving the greater good and the majority of the people.

the very constitution was written by liberals so go ahead and use the term however. the big picture is when you look straight down the line wtf had the republicans done? also under clinton you paid more taxes but the money you made/kept went alot farther. also from what bush has done with the constitution i think you would have to say its his enemy. he pushed for a war that he clearly had alot of false info, passed the patriot act (just away for him to check on people much like what dictators and comunist countries do) and had over 800 signing sheets to bypass congress's vote. no other president had as many in fact add up all the other presidents together bush has more signing sheets by a wide margin. dont blame this on this war on terrorism as the revolutionary war, war of 1812, civil war ww1, ww2, korea and vietnam were all wars on a larger scale. signing sheet = wanna be dictator. we went to war in iraq over oil..i mean weapons of mass destruction and i think its pretty clear who wants them and who is developing them now is iran...

Actually it worked as many sheep as yourself believe it. Fact is, Dems believe in good foreign relations and diplomacy. NOT just "bring'em on". Audiolife has already covered this but I thought I'd chime in a little of my own. As already stated, Bush has used alot of signing sheets to bypass votes. It is him and his party that want to amend the constitution as a way of banning gay marriages. It is also him and the Christian right wing that keep trying to blurr the line between church and state. So before you spout off about the constitution you might want to have some facts with you. As far as going to Cuba is concerned: Why would I do that? I already denounced him right where I stand now. No reason to travel.

if scroder understood the constitution the very questioning of our government by its people is encouraged. why you may ask? to avoid what england did to cause us to revolt anyway. if you are of age and are a LEGAL citizen you can vote however you want...you can also run for any office! you have the right to bare arms not only to protect you from invaders but from your own government if needed...
