Honestly if he has enough cash, Do not go through distributors. The shop I work at we go through a few distributors, and the CS with a distributor is pretty sub par. Go directly through the company if you can afford the buy in, and keep up with their quarterly quota.

Paypal offers code to make a shopping cart/inventory and the moeny goes straight to your account. Not hard, surf paypal a little and you'll find it.

Well...I am wanting very similar to what nV has going. I want to buy a particular domain name...$5000 for the one I want is pretty steep LOL!

I can do the design layout and images myself, I would need someone with HTML knowledge to follow through with my thoughts.

Needs a shopping cart and customer login for future purchases. PP, CC, and online check will work. I dont really want to deal with the hassle of paper transactions.

I just got a P.O. box for the business and just need to see what kind of cash I am looking at. I have some contact with the vendors I want to sell, as well as a few non audio products.

If Ruckus can't help you out I can try... I haven't done web design for money for a few months, been too busy. But I need money now, so I guess I should get back in it.

And Mario, I want to start a shop because I have gotten at least 10 serious requests for me to put together systems for local kids since I've had the BTL. As soon as I tell them to go online... they tell me they would rather buy stuff from Best Buy because they can go and get it right away instead of waiting.

What are you thinking of selling? How would you do it better than those that already do? Although not directly related, but think when developing your website think of how you can make it better than the competition.

Service, product lines, price, and availability is why I hope to be better. I may not be the biggest fish in the sea, but I hope to be the best at what i do. Therefor, I feel that it is worth my time to sell good products at as low of a cost as possible while retaining the best service possible. Markup on car audio gear is ridiculous. If I can beat the competition by marking my products down and still be "best in class" I am going for it. I am still a consumer...I plan on keeping it reasonable for people like me.
