weak bass?

so on my way home from work on thursday, i had my sub pounding to some jeezy and in the middle of the song the bass got weaker..... havent gone out to figure it out yet (still hungover and its cold as f*ck out) but what should i be looking for that went wrong?? It did this once before with my old amp but the next day it was back to normal.... and the thing is last night my friend wanted to show off his new p3 rockford sub and then i tried to show him up with my SE and he put me to shame!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

In a multiple sub set-up, one of your subs could've blown.

If it's not the sub, it's possible either the processor or amp. Most likely amp.

its not a huge loss in bass but i can tell a difference..... its almost like not having one of the rca channels plugged in, maybe i will check that out

ding ding ding.

you may have a pinched/torn/damaged RCA. If the weakness has fluxuated from normal bass levels to weaker bass levels, chances are you have a pinch somewhere, and when yer vehicle vibrates, it causes problems.

yeah i'll have to check it out...... but it still doesnt take the depression away from telling my friend that my setup will kill his and than putting my head down and doing the walk of shame, boy did i feel like a dumb@ss!!! I'll get that bastard though!!!!

so i went out and put the dmm on my stuff, rca's are fine but when i put it on my terminals to check if i blew my sub i got a 14.2 ohms WTF!!!! checked the same settings on my dmm on my home theater sub (just to see if i had it on the right setting) and it read 4 ohms.... what is going on!!!!
