Waxing the car

Well, ive always been washing my car now for a long time just using some car soap, water, and towels and its served me well. But i see that some paint is just thinning on my 10 year old car and i was wondering if a detail for my car would help protect the paint and make my car look "revitalized". If so, what do i need for a good DIY detail job?

You could use Nu Finish as it is petroleum based and gets a "newer" shine on it. I prefer to use NEW Turtle Wax Platinum. It is better for darker paints and doesn't leave nasty white dust on it.

autopia.com doesn't work because it doesn't exist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

autopia-carcare.com is the site.

and if you want to have a good paint finish, a good polish and sealant would supersede a wax by an unmeasureable amount.

I use zymol. Ive been using it for a long time and i get nothing but comments when I detail the car.

I dont use the lower end stuff nor do I use their 1,500 dollar wax either.
