avic411.com they know alot. from what i understand is the new models involve soldering on the board to bypass. i could be wrong. check them out they know.

most units like my eclipse, yes you can just ground the parking brake wire. with the pioneers even if you do that it has some like gyro something or other technology in it that knows you are moving.

the avic n1 was able to ground the pb wire as long as you had the original software, once you updated software you lost that function.
