yo DARKHART or anyone who knows how to build this box. if u could put up some sort of blue print some of us could try and build this box over fall break . and what is the formula in which the t/s ratio is pluged in

i wonder what they could do with a tweeter...Ha, i crack myself up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

anaranchi, I'm so out of touch with box building right now, you be far better off with grabbing a copy of the loudspeaker design cookbook and other reference material as a good starting point. I got out of enclouser design and building nearly eight or so years ago. The above mention book is a very good starting point though.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ok DARKHART if u say so . thanks for the book name though
anaranchi, I just found this site try going to http://www.t-linespeakers.org //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, it's either a ZR1000 or an XS100, either way you're looking at well over 200 RMS/sub, even wired @ 4 ohms stereo ...
in one of the video's it shows them using a Kenwood amp, and it looks like one of the 600wmax types. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Did you see the size of the amp in the video ? The ZR240 is tiny :p
What video was the Kenwood in ? There was no Kenwood amplifier in the 6.5" video ... I think that was either an MA Audio or an Audiobahn at the start ...
go and click on the link that says p4s meets gately or something like that. This guy that they are showing the car to is supposed to be some big time shop owner and box builder, but check out that video and in there is were they show a shot of a kenwood amp on top of the boxes with an electronic processor of some sort. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

just went back and viewed the video in the "p4s meets bobby gately of gately audio" section and at 4:01 it shows a close up of a kenwood 200wmax amp, a signal processor and a smaller amp that looks like an old a.d.s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

it's not a xs-50 or xs-100 b/c of the color as far as i know they never came in silver which is the color of that amp. it is a kicker amp just might be wired to 2ohm mono if it is an xs-50. they only do about 150-250rms @2ohm mono they xs-50 or xs-100 don't do jack unless 1ohm mono.

Ok. Time to bring this up again.

This box isn't a transmission line, TQWP or horn. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

It uses what is called the "hoola hoop effect" in which the woofer cone movement is minimized, but the port does all the work.

Under a specifice frequency, it acts differently and uses the 1/4 wave theory. Above a certain frequency, it acts like a sealed box. And in between these frequencies, it changfes it tuning to keep cone movement to a minimum and SPL to max.

The designer of this box has designed a new box for a 12 that is KILLS this box as far as efficiency goes, but would take up the bed of a full sized truck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
