Also, what's the impedance config. on the Type R's...2 or 4 ohm DVC...

there DVC 2 ohm...which i wired up to a 2ohm load...around $250 maybe

Try something like a Crossfire VR2000d, probably out of your price range tho..

no i dont need more bass or maybe i could since i tried the jl500/1(off course i returned it since it ran me $580) amp and that amp outpounded my HiFonics ihave right now. so maybe im looking to get a better quality amp running the same RMS watts as the HiFonincs.

Why not an older rf bd1000 off ebay or something. Ive owned a couple and never had a problem, would be perfect for them...
