IMO use the amp you have. It's not going to get you any love from a forum like this, but it's going to give you 1000w +. It will work fine for a decent pair of 12's.
You have priorities - using an off brand amp is not going to bring about the end of civilization.
Get yourself a good enclosure and prove all the haters wrong.
Just plan on 1000w at 1 ohm -- forget about the whole 3kw thing...not even close.
FWIW - ~1000w (maybe a little more) for $130's hard to beat. Hopefully it will last a while.
