this is why your are being flamed......no data can be concluded from you experiments with car audio because you are leaving out about 100 factors. one being clipping if you havnt gotten that one yet. also rated power vs actual power, voltage drops, input voltage, speaker parameters, cabin gain and vehicle acoustics. What were you trying to tell us from your original post? That low end jl is better than they say? Well its not.....I promise JL doesnt lie about the power handling of their subs.

And if your coils have not been burnt then how the hell would jl know how much power your subs were seeing? You could clip a 200 watt amp blow it from clipping and JL may say you gave it too much power
