Warning about IkeSound and Profile!

I got my cl800 in the mail two days ago and I realized there were 2 40a fuses on it...I could have sworn on all the specs I read about it that there are supposed to be 2 30a fuses. Then last night I was looking through the manual and on the spec sheet I felt something strange under my thumb...it was a very small sticker that says 2x40A. I proceed to peel it off and sure as hell it said 2x30A. To everyone that has bought a Profile amp or possibly other amps check and make sure it has not been modified by anyone. They even put in 2 extra 40s to further decieve me. Also, isnt it a federal crime for dealers to tamper with products that they sell? When I buy some batteries for my camera I will take pics of the decieving sticker.

It could of been Profile who put the sticker on there and upped the rating to 40a...

lol all of a sudden ike sound is the bad guy......i bet almost anyone on here would refer u to them. and why would u think profile wouldnt put stickers to cover up the old rating, id rather buy stickers than reprint manuals.

Odds are that it was Profile that did it ... IkeSound wouldn't really benefit from doing that

yeah i can see them now "we really gonna screw this guy by putting a bigger fuse in his amp, that way when it blows we have to fix it cus its under warranty...."

its not a bad thing if profile did it. hifonics should have done it with the 1500bd from what u hear.

Thanks Jmac. How would PRofile benefit from doing this? Like if my amp fries they suppose I send it to them to be repaired? Do you think I should replace the fuses with the rated 30a's?

O yea Ike is an authorized dealer so the manufactuers warranty is good so no1 benefits from doing this really.

on most any information you read, there is some sort of disclaimer to the effect of, "the specifications are subject to change at any time, without notice", most likely profile upgraded/changed the design on the amps to take different fuses, and didnt bother to reprint all the manuals, and just put a sticker over the old rating, because stickers are more cost effective than reprinting a ton of manuals. you see this type of thing with computer parts all the time, at least in my experiance.

I would definitely recommend IKESOUND I have bought many things from them and have been truly happy.
